The Drape Tray is an object that investigates the contrasts through form and texture: Softness vs Hardness, blackened vs Bright, Roughened vs Polished.

“Soft” Metal is “Draped” onto “Hard” Metal.
A heavy and solid foundation is made by bending 12 gauge blackened steel rods, which are then welded together.
A light and soft surface is made by pressing polished alumnium, which then drapes onto the frame like fabric.
